IGNSS Symposium Cancellation and Refund Policy for the 2015 Conference

 

The IGNSS Society “Conference Cancellation and Refund Policy” strives to be as fair as possible to all parties involved in IGNSS conferences including but not limited to the following:

 

Delegates

Speakers

Sponsors

Exhibitors

Hotel and Social Function Venues

The IGNSS Society and IGNSS office holders

 

Upon registering for a conference all delegates, speakers, sponsors and exhibitors receive a registration confirmation email which contains the following Cancellation statement:

 

Conference Cancellation Policy:  It is highly recommended that Travel, Accommodation and Registration Cancellation Insurance is taken out to cover cancellation costs for registration, travel and accommodation. 

 

Cancellation fees for accommodation and registration are listed in the registration brochure and IGNSS website.

 

Any cancellations made to your registration must be advised in writing  to krys@ignss.org

 

Cancellations made prior to Friday 15 May, 2015 will be refunded less a $125 administration fee.

 

No registration refunds will be made after this date.

 

As an alternative to cancellation, your registration may be transferred to another person without incurring any penalty.

 

The IGNSS Society must be advised of this transfer in writing.

 Additionally there is a “Conference, Travel & Accommodation Insurance” page on the IGNSS website under the “2015 Symposium & Exhibition” navigation tab which states the following:-

It is strongly recommended that you take out your own insurance to cover any financial losses associated with conference registration fees, travel costs, accommodation costs and other sundry expenses which may be imposed by your not attending the conference after registering and paying for those services

Hotel Accommodation Cancellation Policy.

If an accommodation booking is cancelled within 7 days of check in, one nights cancellation fee will be charged to the credit card supplied by the delegate on their registration form.

If you do not arrive on the date booked it is classified as a “No Show” and each night that you do not arrive is charged to your credit card.

Cancellation notifications are required in writing to krys@ignss.org.

The IGNSS Society and its office holders are not responsible for any expenses incurred by conference attendees who act outside of the IGNSS stated policies.

The IGNSS Society is required to confirm delegate numbers and prepay all suppliers in advance one month (June 13) prior to commencement of the symposium on July 13.    

Our suppliers do not refund the IGNSS Society for any reduction in numbers because of cancellation.
